Dr D. Eduardo Vilaplana, Honorary Member of the Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

Last May, during SEGO, Dr Vilaplana received the highest national honour any medical specialist of gynaecology can receive; he was awarded the Honorary Membership to the Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

Dr Vilaplana adds this distinction to others he has received over his career including an Honorary Membership to the Spanish Association of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, which was awarded last year in 2010, an Honorary Membership to the Mexican UNESCO Association for his selfless work in the field of oncology training in Latin American countries especially in the detection of gynaecological cancer, as well as the appointment as a Member of the Spanish Congress of the prevention of cervical cancer and the Spanish Consensus on HPV, among other honours. He has dedicated his long career to the care and attention to women's health.
