The University of Alicante along with Instituto Bernabeu has created the Department of Reproductive Medicine.
"To boost research is part of our genome, so this collaboration with the University of Alicante is essential to generate research and knowledge in our province". With these words explained Rafael Bernabeu, director of the Instituto Bernabeu, the importance of the agreement signed this morning in the office of the Rector between the Institute and the Foundation he is president of, and the University of Alicante, for the creation of the Department of Reproductive Medicine. According to the Rector, Manuel Palomar, this new department is called to be "a place of innovation and cutting edge science and research, a great partnership that puts us on the leading edge in Reproductive Medicine from which Instituto Bernabeu and its Foundation are leaders internationally".
Palomar recalled that the collaboration between the two institutions dates back to 2005. In this sense, Bernabeu has explained that "in addition to establishing synergies that will allow us to use the enormous research and technological potential of both institutions, the good thing about our department is that we are not starting from scratch, we have been working during eight yearson joint projects and have given birth to first class scientific literature, and last year we got the second prize for research from American Society of Reproductive Medicine competing with more than 500 projects worldwide. Bernabeu has ensured that going together with the UA "is an honor and a challenge".
