“Updated information on the prevention of premature birth”: Next training day for professionals
Instituto Bernabeu's unit for high risk pregnancies has organised this new training day for professionals that will take place on 24 November 2012 in the conference hall of our Alicante clinic's new building.
The course will cover the latest updates in treatment and prevention of premature birth with presentations by top specialists in this field.
Dr. Maria Goya from the Barcelona "Vall d´Hebrón" Hospital will present cutting edge advances in high-risk obstetrics with her speech "Indication and methodology of the vaginal pessary". Dr. Alfredo Perales, head of gynaecology of the Valencia "La Fe" Hospital will also deal with the topic "use of cervical cerclage". Dr. Juan Luis Delgado of the Murcia "Virgen de la Arrixaca" Hospital will discuss "updates for the treatment of threatened premature labour". Gynaecology specialists from Instituto Bernabeu will participate with two presentations by Dr. Ana Palacios discussing the "Diagnosis of threatened premature labour" and Dr. Joaquín Llácer with his speech "Evolution of assisted reproduction treatments in the prevention of multiple pregnancy".
The end of the day is dedicated to paediatric care, by the neonatology service of the University Hospital of Alicante with the doctors Miriam Salvador and Honorio Sanchez, who will present "Updates in premature care and prevention of long-term effects".
